Electrodata's TTS 3,EZ-TESTER® QJ combines the comprehensive T1 testing features of the original EZ-TESTER with dual line testing capabilities necessary for two-way monitoring and single instrument drop and insert testing. Built to the same tried and true standards of the original EZ-TESTER, the EZ-TESTER QJ provides complete testing support for DS0 and T1 circuits. Available as either a single line or dual line unit, the test set weighs three pounds, is housed in a rugged metal case, contains rechargeable batteries, and can be operated in temperatures from below 0° F to 140°F.
Options Included:
The Fractional T1 option provides the ability to test contiguous and noncontiguous 56 x N and 64 x N fractional T1 circuits and equipment.
This option provides the necessary operations to originate or terminate a call into a digital switch or PBX from a DSX or other T1 access point. It also provides the ability to test Switched 56 services by establishing a data line through the public switched network to a test line or remote DSU/CSU. A user defined sequence of phone number plus access codes can be sent or captured along with signaling events such as a wink, off-hook or on-hook.
The CET option expands the remote control capability of the EZ-TESTER QJ and supports a user friendly environment for the PC user. Electrodata provides software, which operates within Windows®, to control an EZ-TESTER with the CET option.
This option is used to test Primary Rate ISDN circuits at the central office or at the customer location. It emulates the network or customer equipment and allows the placing and receiving of either data or voice calls. It will test 23B+D or 23B+D/24B circuit configurations and the dual T1 configuration allows monitoring in both directions simultaneously using two receivers.
This option allows the EZ-Tester QJ to interact as a terminal with HDSL and PMDNI Digital Network Interface units both in the central office and in the field. The advantage to you is that a separate terminal or PC is not required to access the nformation and capability provided by the HDSL and PMDNI hardware. This option enables field technicians to access this equipment without having to carry a separate terminal device.
The DDS (Digital Data Service) Channel Testing option allows you to test DDS circuits and equipment from a T1 access point. This option offers full BERT capabilities using DDS-1 through DDS-6 stress patterns and 63, 127, 511 and 2047 pseudorandom patterns. It includes latching and non-latching loopback codes, and has the ability to detect and generate control codes. [Supports 2.4, 4.8, 9.6, 19.2, 38.4, 56, and 64 Kbps data rates.]
For units configured with a single DS1 test port, Option 19 adds a second port to allow dual line DS1 testing. This option is particularly useful during primary rate ISDN testing, allowing the user to monitor both lines simultaneously, or to perform a drop and insert operation without requiring a seperate receiver to monitor test results.
