OVERVIEW

Our ground bond testers are designed to assess the electrical integrity of the safety ground paths between the
exposed conductive surfaces of products and the earth pins of their AC power cords. By using our ground bond
testers to continuously test for acceptable resistances in those paths as they are subjected to currents that are
close to the limit of what the overcurrent protection for their AC power mains will allow, our ground bond testers can
test for electrical safety and integrity issues caused by marginal single-strand wiring or other problems that ordinary
low current ground continuity testers may miss. Our model M25, M30, M35, and M40 ground bond testers are
designed to test for acceptably low resistance at 25 amps, 30 amps, 35 amps, and 40 amps respectively.

In addition, our ground bond testers are designed to perform these ground bond tests in compliance with UL, BSI,
IEC, and other applicable electrical safety testing standards. These standards serve to help reduce your exposure
to product liability claims and your risk of producing electrically unsafe products.

FEATURES

• Triggers audible and visual alarms If the ground resistance exceeds the preset value

• Test time is adjustable from 1 to 90 seconds
• Tests resistance (up to 0.15 Ohms) between the chassis of the tested product and the ground pin of its power cord
• Can connect to any ROD-L hipot tester to enable combination testing via a common start-click and tester connection
• AC power source supplies 25, 30, 35, or 40 Amps (user-specified) at about 2.5 volts
• Front panel receptacle is rated to 8000 VAC
• Reports test progress, test failures, the chassis ground resistance (0 - 0.15 Ohms), and the applied current
• Ground resistance trip point can be preset via a rear-panel potentiometer
