The Tek 27xx series is very similar in performance to the 49x series of spectrum analyzers.  These analyzers were designed to be used in a laboratory situation on a benchtop or rackmounted where the 49x series were portable analyzers. 

While these analyzers aren't as convenient to carry to remote sites, they more than make up for it in ease of use.  Features such as a direct entry keypad make these very user friendly spectrum analyzers, and preferable for lab use. 

The 2755P is has identical RF specifications to the 492AP.  This particular unit includes option 01 RF Preselector and 08 which deletes the external mixer capability (for frequencies above 21 GHz)
