This Model 6630 Network Probe is a hand held, menu-driven system of instruments designed to isolate and diagnose problems occurring in data communications networks and computer systems. It is capable of monitoring digital and/or analog communications systems operating at speeds up to 19,200 bits per second. Using an applicable synchronous protocol option module, the Model 6630 Network Probe is capable of monitoring communications lines with transmission speeds up to 144,000 (aggregate) bits per second in the full duplex mode.
By operator selection, the Network Probe becomes one of the following types of instruments:
1. Data Line Monitor/Emulator
2. Bit Error rate Tester (BERT & BLERT)
3. Buffered Asynchronous Terminal
4. RS232-C/V.24 Lead Status Monitor
5. Digital Volt Ohm Meter (DVOM) Volts (AC/DC), Ohmmeter, dBm/Level Meter, Continuity Meter.
6. Speaker Monitor
