The EG&G 113 Low-Noise Preamplifier provides high gain, low noise amplification from dc to 300 kHz.  When required, the bandwidth can be reduced via adjustable high and low frequency rolloff settings.

Two inputs allow both differential and single-ended operation with calibrated gain from x10 to x104 in a 1-2-5 sequence, or an uncalibrated gain vernier provides x1 to x2.5 range expansion. 

The model 113 can be powered from the ac line or using its internal NiCd rechargeable batteries. 

Other features include an overload fast-recovery switch, special circuitry that reduces the effects of ground-loop currents, front-panel dc zeroing and common mode rejection screwdriver controls and battery test provisions.

• Adjustable High & Low Frequency Roll-offs
• 2 input channels provide AC or DC coupled, single-ended or differential operation (BNC connectors)
• Input impedance AC coupled: through 0.1 µF, shunted to ground with 100 Mohms and 15 pF in parallel
• Input impedance DC coupled: 1 Gigohm, shunted by 15 pF
• Gain by 10 to 10K in 1-2-5 Sequence, continuously variable
