LINECHEK™ was designed to automate Line Leakage testing in a production line or laboratory environment for safety agency compliance testing. This instrument tests to UL 544, UL 2601, UL 1563, UL 3101, IEC 1010, IEC 601-1 and European Norms (EN) to meet the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive, the Medical Directive and others.

Medical electronics manufacturers have been performing Line Leakage tests for many years as a “design” or “type” test. Recently, many manufacturers have begun performing the Line Leakage test as a final test on their production lines to ensure quality, for record keeping and to meet insurance requirements.

The Low Voltage Directive, Medical Directive and new European Norms (EN) which were adopted by the European Community, are all council directives which state that manufacturers not only need to perform a Hipot, Insulation Resistance and Ground Bond test but also a Line Leakage test.
