MFR / Model:  HP 8660D opt 100 signal generator with 86632B modulation section and 86603A RF section.

Condition:  As Pictured. Looks pretty good for its age.  Very dirty, minor scratches, etc.  Missing bottom feet and a couple of knob caps as shown.  We can take care of these issues at extra cost if you care, but not for the listed price.

Testing Performed:  We tested this system many years ago and these are the notes that are attached to it.  On the mainframe, our notes say "no output when this mainframe is used.  Problem is more than likely extension module.  plug-ins work in other mainframes but not this one.

The modulation plug-in says tested ok.

The RF output module says "range switch chatters attenuator when turned.  cleaning switch contacts might fix it."

Note - there is also a post-it on the unit that says "blown capacitor".  I'm not even sure if this post-it belongs with this unit or if it just fell on top of it.  Due to the vintage, I would definitely expect some capacitors to need replacement either way.  I did plug it in and power it on for the picture as shown. 

Definitely a technician special for parts or repair only, but it could be a fine piece of vintage HP gear for the right buyer.
